Cancellation and Refund Policy

A. Merchants
- Payments, Refunds, Cancellations and Payouts for Merchants under MetaHomes Life services
- MetaHomes Life charges a service fee on each transaction facilitated between End Users and Merchants for services provided through the platform. This service fee is deducted from the total payment processed for the service and is refundable under certain circumstances as stipulated in this policy. The specific terms and amount of the service fee will be outlined in a separate Merchant Agreement, which will be executed between Merchant and MetaHomes.
- End Users may be eligible for a full refundif they cancel a service within six (6) hours from placing the order or before the Merchant accepts the order, or subject to verification by MetaHomes Life. If a Merchant cancels a service for any reason, End Users will be entitled to a full refund for the amount paid for that service.
- End Users may be eligible for a partial refund if they cancel a service six (6) hours after placing the order. The refund amount will be determined based on the service's progress, the nature of the cancellation, and other relevant factors at MetaHomes Life's sole discretion.
- End Users will not be eligible for a refund if they request cancellation of the same day service fulfillment. not
- In the event that there are insufficient funds in the End User’s card or bank account to process the payment, the payment will not be processed, and the bank will notify the End User of insufficient funds.
- Refund Process
- Refunds will be processed to the original payment method used by the End User. In the event that the original payment method is unavailable, MetaHomes will contact the End User to discuss alternative refund methods, such as a replacement card or another available method (e.g., bank account). The alternative refund method will be agreed upon by both MetaHomes and the End User before processing the refund.
- Refunds typically appear on the End User's statement within ten to forty-five (10-45) business days, depending on the payment provider.
- Reversals (refunds processed shortly after the original charge) may result in the original charge disappearing from the statement, with no separate credit issued.
- MetaHomes Processing Fee
- MetaHomes Life processes all transactions and deducts the applicable service fee at the time of payment acceptance. In the event of a refund, the service fee may be refundable under specific circumstances outlined in this policy. However, payment processing fees are non-refundable and will be deducted from the transaction amount before any refund is issued.
- If a refund is processed, MetaHomes will notify the End User via email, provided the account has a valid email address.
- Refund disputes (e.g., chargebacks) are not possible on fully refunded transactions.
- Merchant Responsibilities
- The Merchant must be aware of and comply with the refund policy while listing their services on our MetaHomes services platform. Similarly, the End User must be made aware of the refund policy prior to booking a service. Both parties are responsible for adhering to the policies as outlined.
- If the refund fails, the End User will be notified of the failure reason. In certain cases, refunds may be cancelled before processing, and the End User will be informed.
- Dispute Resolution
- In the event of disputes between the Merchant and the End User regarding cancellations or refunds, MetaHomes will act as a neutral third party for communication. All communication will initially be conducted via email through MetaHomes customer support. If necessary, MetaHomes may intervene with a phone call, which will be recorded for reference. Following the phone call, MetaHomes will send a confirmation email summarizing the details of the conversation.
- However, if the dispute relates to the Merchant's services, it will be governed by the Merchant’s and dispute resolution procedures. MetaHomes is not responsible for the outcome of any such disputes.
B. Hosts
- Cancellations and Refunds Policy for Hosts and End Users in MetaHomes
- MetaHomes charges a service fee of 10% on each transaction facilitated between End Users and Hosts for services provided through the platform. This service fee is deducted from the total payment made for the service. The service fee may be refundable under specific circumstances outlined in this policy. However, payment processing fees associated with the transaction are non-refundable in all cases.
- The following cancellation and refund policies apply to all bookings made through the MetaHomes platform. These policies are designed to offer flexibility while ensuring that both Hosts and Users/End Users are treated fairly and equitably.
- Cancellation and refund policies are determined by MetaHomes. It is at the discretion of the MetaHomes to set the terms and conditions for cancellations and refunds, including the timing and eligibility for refunds. End Users should review the specific cancellation and refund policy at the time of booking to understand the terms that apply to their reservation.
- The eligibility for a refund, as well as the applicable refund amount, will depend on the timing of the cancellation and the type of booking. End Users should review the specific conditions outlined below to understand the refund eligibility for their booking.
- Refundable Bookings
- End Users may be eligible for a full refund if they cancel the reservation prior to twenty-four (24) hours of check-in time or before the Host accepts the request, or subject to verification by MetaHomes. If a Host cancels the reservation for any reason, End Users will be entitled to a full refund for the amount paid for that booking.
- Partial Refundable Bookings
- End Users may be eligible for a partial refund, if they cancel the reservation after twenty-four (24) hours, but before twelve (12) hours of the check-in time. The amount of which will be determined based on the booking progress, the nature of the cancellation, and other relevant factors as determined at MetaHomes sole discretion.
- Non- Refundable Bookings
- End Users will not be eligible for a refund if they cancel the reservation within twelve (12) hours of check in time. The amount will be Non-Refundable.
- MetaHomes is responsible for processing the transaction and deducting the applicable service fee at the time of payment acceptance. Please note that the processing fee is not refundable and will be deducted from the transaction amount before any refund request is fulfilled.
- In the event of refunds applicable, such refunds typically appear on the End User's statement within ten to forty-five (10-45) business days, depending on the payment provider.
